Dr Geary graduated in medicine from Queens university Belfast in 2010 He has worked in a wide range medical and surgical specialties across Northern Ireland including orthopaedics, general surgery, colorectal surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology, paediatrics, emergency medicine, respiratory medicine and psychiatry, as well as training in New Zealand. After undertaking general surgical training Dr Geary then trained in general practice and has a specialist interest in minor surgery, joint injections and vasectomy. Dr Geary introduced the minimally invasive vasectomy for the first time ever to Northern Ireland in 2018 having trained with colleagues in England. This was the first time this procedure had ever been offered in Northern Ireland having been a mainstay of contraception worldwide for many years. He has performed hundreds of procedures and is a member of the Association of primary care surgeons and takes part in continuing professional development and audit in this field. He also has a keen interest in joint injections and skin surgery having performed over 1000 procedures and developed services in a number of areas in Northern Ireland. He took up his permanent appointment as a GP partner in Portadown in 2013.
Dr Burnett graduated in medicine from the University Of Dundee in 1989. He has worked in a wide range of medical specialties in Scotland, Australia, Northern Ireland, and England. His hospital posts have included urology, vascular surgery, general surgery, cardiology, general medicine, A&E, orthopaedics, cardiothoracic surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, psychiatry, anaesthetics and general practice. Dr Burnett took up his appointment as a GP partner in Portadown in 1996. Dr Burnett has been the senior partner in his practice for the past 15 years. He has a wide range of medical interests. Dr Burnett has been performing joint injections in his NHS practice for the past 10+ years.
