Joint Injection

Musculoskeletal pain is a common and debilitating problem for many people. Corticosteroid injections are often helpful in relieving pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis (wear and tear) and tendinopathy (tendinitis). There are numerous situations where steroid injection can be useful and they are listed below. As every person and condition is unique, we recommend an initial consultation to assess your suitability to receive a joint injection.

If you are on any anti-coagulant (blood thinning) medication such as warfarin, rivaroxaban, apixaban, edoxaban, clopidogrel or aspirin, or you are immunocompromised or allergic to any medications it is important to make the doctor aware of this.

Pay for the procedure

If you book an injection and the doctor and you agree it isnt the best course of action then you will be refunded £90. If you book a consultation and go on to have an injection there will be an extra £90 charge.
